JUAN SANTA CRUZ
Born in Chile and educated in Switzerland, Juan Santa Cruz attended Babson College in Boston, where he graduated cum laude with honours and earned a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Finance, Investments and Economics.
After years at Bankers Trust in New York City and The Exxel Group in Buenos Aires, Santa Cruz abandoned the world of finance to follow his passion for hospitality and design. In 2002, Santa Cruz Co. was established.
With a focus on the design, development and operation of restaurants and bars, Santa Cruz opened his first restaurant, Casa Cruz, in Buenos Aires in 2004 to international celebration. Quickly becoming one of the most desired restaurants in Buenos Aires, Casa Cruz was soon followed by the openings of Isabel and Aldo’s - individual concepts that themselves were admired and recognized.
2015 brought Casa Cruz to London’s Notting Hill, Santa Cruz's first restaurant in London. Met with tremendous success, two years later Santa Cruz Co. added Isabel Mayfair to its growing portfolio.
By 2019, Santa Cruz Co. opened a third concept in London, Nathalie, while simultaneously developing a concept for a Casa Cruz in New York.
Located on East 61st Street between Park and Madison Avenues, Casa Cruz New York, Santa Cruz Co.’s first foray into the USA opened in 2022.
Dubbed “New York’s most glamorous restaurant” by Vogue, the 6 story beaux-arts townhouse is comprised of multiple bars and dining rooms, special events spaces and an all seasons roof-top dining terrace.
In 2022, Santa Cruz Co. also opened Colette and Coco’s on the 37th floor of the iconic General Motors Building - a first of its kind members only club and dining club, with expansive views of New York City and Central Park.
Obvio, his latest venture, is a modern supper club and cocktail bar that seamlessly marries a distinctive atmosphere, imaginative cuisine, and dazzling cocktails, which has gathered strong reviews since its opening in March 2025.
With projects currently in development around the globe, Santa Cruz Co. is headquartered in New York and London, also where Santa Cruz personally divides his time.

MATIAS SANTA CRUZ
Matias Santa Cruz is Partner, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer at Santa Cruz Co., a leading design and hospitality firm with operations across multiple continents.
Born in Uruguay to a Chilean family, Matias grew up in Switzerland where he graduated from HEC Lausanne with a Masters in Economic Science. He started his professional career in London working for UBS Investment Bank, then New York where he subsequently worked for HSBC and Bank of America as a Managing Director.
In 2024, after twenty years in Investment Banking, Matias joined forces with his brother Juan Santa Cruz to bring a disciplined yet creative approach to scaling the hospitality ventures of Santa Cruz Co. globally and maximizing the returns of their existing ventures. He plays a pivotal role in the company’s strategic growth, operational excellence, and financial oversight.
Since joining, Matias has played an important role of Santa Cruz Co.’s latest restaurant and cocktail bar, Obvio in New York. He has also been instrumental in Casa Cruz New York’s expansion of its membership program and its transformation into a members-only club.
Matias has lived in the New York area for 20 years and is fluent in four languages.
